Ultimate Boot CD
« on: May 27, 2009, 12:19:52 AM »
Is anyone familiar with this:

http://www.ubcd4win.com/howto.htm

My question is:  Do I need a real Microsoft Windows XP CD to do this...  I only have an OEM factory image disk that came with the computer when it was purchased :(

Can I download a real Microsoft XP CD anywhere and use my current license key for it?

I only use the DOS version...same utilities ...no Windows CD needed.
However you may try copying the i386 folder from the OEM CD to your hard drive and try assembling it that way.

Use with caution...there are some powerful tools included.

Oh, I just thought I'd start with Darik's Boot & Nuke!   ;D

Good point - a lot of stuff on there -- it'll take a while to become acquainted.
