USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT STATUS DETECTED AFTER ASSEMBLY

I recently bought a motherboard with socket 775 (P5KPL-AM SE). And after assembly the problem occurred, there is an error message "USB Device Over Current Detected!! System will shut down after 15 seconds". I can't enter set up too because its lock and does shut down. I've checked all the jumper settings to default and now I have no idea what's the problem.. Is my purchased motherboard defective? Please help!!!

             Motherboard: P5KPL-AM SE
             CPU: Intel Pentium 2.0 Ghz Dual Core
             RAM: 2 GB DDR2 800 (kingston)
             VGA: Built in
            Audio: Built in
             HDD: Samsung 160 GB
             PSU: 550 watts

Have you contacted the manufacturer or the reseller?

I would actually advise that as your next step.  If they say that it's not defective we would be happy to help you, but the beauty of buying new items is the warranty.  You paid for it, so might as well get your moneys worth

First of all thanks for your reply, I didn't contact the reseller yet coz unluckily the Official Receipt is missing  . I've been searching for 2 weeks for my motherboard's receipt but i haven't found it yet. All of the components have their receipt  except the mainboard.

If the seller is reputable he should have a record of your purchase...

Thanks for your response, I will try your option, i have a receipt of the power supply which i bought in the same store but different time.
