    Script debugger problem(involves mcafee)
    « on: August 10, 2009, 02:01:06 PM »
Hello everyone, my friend told me about this site and it seems like just what I need  :). Ok, this happens rarely, but it has happened before. Basically the "Microsfot Script Editor" sometimes brings up this file [588] C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\MSC\McUICnt.exe as needing to be debugged. Now I've debugged it before and it has come up. Basically, my question is should this happen, is it ok to debug it, and if not is there anyway to fix this without re-downloading everything? Thanks for any help.

I would remove  McAfee completely and then reinstall the program.... Disconnect from the internet when you remove your antivirus and reinstall.

to harry: I looked at it and I don't think I have a virus, I posted this here because it involved software deeling with spyware protection and such. I'll post if I need to, but I was wondering if there is anything to fix this once in a while problem.

to karnac: I was thinking of doing that, but if its possbile to fix it without doing this, that would be better imo.

The fact you are receiving the error regarding McUICnt.exe leads me to believe that the said file has been corrupted and therefore needs to be replaced....reinstalling should replace it.

              With a firewall in place.
