i would like to add some more ram to my pc and i need to know what speed my ram that already is in the computer is. Ive looked at the RAM in my comp but i cant find a speed on it, all it says is DDR2. is there a way to find out the speed of the RAM from looking through "my computer" or something like that?

Go to Crucial.com and have them scan your computer. It will identify the RAM currently installed in your system.

If its ddr2 then just go buy some at newegg.  But still, use the scanner to find out how many empty slots and to double check that its ddr2

or just go to Control Panel - System.  It will tell you the speed in there.

But it won't always report the correct info...Crucial is much more accurate...all they do is RAM.
