Of course it's not possible - scanning is a physical activity, but what would be the purpose?

    What's on your mind, Tony?

Do you want to change the resolution of an existing picture?

I just want to scan a picture that I have stored in my computer, I will have to just print it out on my printer with  photo paper I guess. And how did you know my name?

      "srtony" - I'd take a shot that it's "Tony" too :)

And if it's already on your computer, just print it. All a scanner does is save the image to your system - but it's already there so I guess we don't understand what it is you need to do with the scanner.

srtony1946, scanners are like cameras. They take a picture of whatever you lay on the glass. Then they squirt the digital data down the wire into your computer, where it is stored in a file. If an image is already stored in your computer, as a digital file, just how did you plan to lay it on the glass?

You should just be able to open the picture file on your computer, and print the picture from whatever software opens the image.
