cannot max screen for video viewing
    « on: September 10, 2009, 05:40:33 PM »
When I attempt to maximize the screen to view a video on hulu or youtube I get a half gray/black screen.  You can hear the movie and click on the screen to stop/start it but it does not display it.  It will however play netflixs movies at full screen which uses silverlight instead of flash.  This happens on all browsers I have tried.  I have updated my video card driver and run general updates.  I have also not changed resolutions.

My computer is a toshiba satellite amd turion 64x2, 3gb, 32bit vista ult.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks,
    Hyde

You may have to use lower resolution and color depth.
Also, you may have a hardware accelerator that does not work well with flash.
Disable the hardware declaration and see.

Thank you so much.  You were correct about that hardware accelerator;  I had to right click on the flash player and turn i off and it now works.  It is however of a much poorer quality.  Anything you know to improve that?  Thanks again.

Full screen is always lower quality because the pixels are just stretched.
