Windows 98 SE internet problems

Hi,

 I have a computer that ran windows 98. I want to update thins computer to windows 98 SE for many reson one being that Se unlike regular 98 will work correctly with a Usb flash Drive(jump Driver) when the correct driver is installed. Unfortunately when i enterned the Windows 98 SE setup the computer told me that i have a opperating system and if i wanted to upgrade to SE i need to obtain the windows 98 upgrade CD and the computer exits the setup.  So i formated the hard disk drive and installed win 98 Se. every thing worked fine but when i started on the internet, i logged on Msn then clicked hotmail link and this message popped up,

THis program has performed illegal operation and will be shut down.

If this problem persists, contact the program vendor.

So i deleted dos partition, made new dos partition installed win 98 se and this problem still exists. Any help will be accepted.

Since Microsoft hasn't supported Win98 in a long time, you should download and install the Unofficial Win98SE Service Pack.
