    Wireless not working
    « on: September 13, 2009, 07:15:16 PM »
I have a friend that just got a new Dell Latitude E5500 laptop with Core 2 duo p8600 2.40 ghz processor and 3 gig memory with XP Pro sp 3.  It has a dell wireless 1397 wlan mini-card.  It shows it is working properly, but it doesn't see the wireless network.  I have check to make sure the wireless is turned on and it is.  I have disable and enable, but it does not see the wireless.  My laptop sees the network fine.  I have started his laptop in safe mode with networking and it sees the wireless network and it will connect.  We may have to call Dell, but I was trying not to.  Any ideas?
    Thanks,

I could connect to a wired network.
I called Dell and I gave them remote access.  They uninstalled their wireless connection software.
After that it saw the wireless networks and I could connect.
