Vista File Association toasted
« on: March 12, 2010, 10:21:40 AM »
Hi,
I have a Vista machine that keeps asking what program I want to use to open files.

I would like to know if there is a quick fix I can run or do I have to keep telling it what to use and setting it manualyl with each file type?

Thanks

The site did help. I can open the com objects and exe files now. I still have a ton of registry problems. I think I am going to have to pull off the data and rebuild the machine.

Thanks for the help!

Thats a great idea! I have to find a Vista Home Premium CD. This is a HP with the system restore on the disk. The user doesn't have the disks.

I will let you know what happens.
