    Shockwave Flash Isn't Working
    « on: October 21, 2010, 12:07:05 PM »
    Hello,

For the past week or so, Shockwave Flash isn't working. Every time I open Youtube or Pandora, Google Chrome, IE, or Firefox crashes. The browsers tell me that the Shockwave Flash plug-in crashed.

I Googled my problem, and it seems that it may be an issue with my sound drivers. Device Manager tells me that I have  Realtek High Definition Audio, and that there aren't any updated drivers for it.

Is this the issue, or is it something else?

    Thanks!

Yes, I have. I think its an issue with my sound card. I have to "Force Shut Down" whenever I want to turn off the computer because Windows 7 always stalls while playing the log-off sound. Anything that involves audio crashes-Skype, Songbird, Pandora, YouTube, or even Facebook.

My question is how to reinstall the drivers. Do I just uninstall the sound card in Device Manager and let Windows reinstall on the next restart? This seems pretty risky.

Try doing a system restore to before the problem started.
