slipstreaming Win 7
« on: November 26, 2010, 05:47:36 AM »
Ok, here is my question. I have a laptop (HP) and i think that i have a virus (yes i know that it can be removed, however, that being said i think that some house cleaning is in order)  now to my question. How do you slipstream driver software such as Realtec's nic drivers, hp quick launch buttons, etc into windows 7 installer so i don't have to keep installing the driver packages.

i ask, because the last time i did this was with XP and when i attempted that it did not work for some reason.

You can use DriverMax to backup and reinstall drivers: http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/

You can also easily get them from HP site BEFORE you reinstall.

Thanks guys. I most likely will go with allan's solution, since that is what i was trying to achieve in teh first place, when i tried with XP.

I ended up slipstreaming the disc, but not reformatting. i used hi jack this and found that the reason for the reoccurring infections was for an external HDD that i don't hook up often. virus free now :)
