Since everyone is getting catty i'll qualify my statements about Windows Power Management settings as only my opinion...nothing else.

Obviously not a qualified opinion...

    I read a little bit about the power management, opinions vary on personal experience and what we individually do or how we use our computers.

    Sleep automatically preserves your open documents and programs in memory and shuts down all nonessential functions. (A flashing or colored light on the computer case typically indicates your computer is sleeping.) The advantage of sleep is that it takes only seconds to restore your computer to where you left off—and uses only about as much electricity as a night light.

    I personally do not even turn my computer off, I just let the system use the Balanced power plan.

    I also state that this is my opinion and nothing else.
