I messed up my computer and ended up reformatting my hard drive.  I now have dos 6.22 and cannot install windows 98 as I can't access my cd drive.  Please help.

Windows 98 is bootable from the CD.  Enter "setup" (BIOS) and set CDROM to 1st boot device, or 2nd after floppy disk drive, make hard drive 3rd.

Thanks for the help.  When I go to BIOS and press enter on the 1st boot device I don't see any options to pick the CD ROM as the first boot device.  Would it work if I unplugged the floppy drive?

Your BIOS may not be capable of booting of a CD-ROM.

You should use a bootable diskette instead.

Are you sure you are navigating the bios screens correctly?
I know it's a pain but try reading the navigation directions, they are often illogical.
