    Epeon printer
    « on: February 11, 2011, 07:42:19 AM »
Mt PC works ok with my Epson printer but my laptop will not recognise it. I have tried reinstalling the programme and changed USB ports.
I have recently installed Norton. Could this be a solution?

        Vista drivers ? ?
USB printers should remain dis-connected during install until prompted...
Remove the printer in Device Manager...
Use Add/Remove to uninstall the software...
Power down and unplug the USB cable...
        Power up and try again.

unless he meant that Norton caused the conflict.  ???

and @patio, I had somoe usb devices automatically install drivers when I plugged them into my machine running vista (some needed the driver cd). Printers are no different?
