the same reason that drinking drano would harm your digestive system.

That's got to be the best analogy I've every heard for explaining a registry cleaner.

But yes, Giuliano, registry cleaners are nothing but trouble and really quite unnecessary. They break more than they fix. It's impossible for a registry cleaner to know and understand every single possible registry entry and they often make suggestions of things to delete that you actually need (or delete them without asking).

The only time you should touch the registry is to fix a specific problem and it should only be done if you really know what you're doing. Otherwise you could do as much damage as the registry cleaner does.

Best thing to do is just stay away from them.

These days’ people are buying registry cleaner and registry boosters or optimizers, simply because they prevent system crashes and optimize the Windows registry and enhance the PC performance.
If your PC is showing symptoms like slow performance, a long starting time, it is freezing frequently or it is crashing without any apparent reason. Then it may be having some issues with the Windows registry.
As for Window registry, it is a place on the hard drive where Windows keeps the record of information it might need in the future like the changes made to system settings, applications opened etc. It is the place where you'll find things like user profiles, information regarding the file types, hardware and software installed or deleted.

So now you may have a query as to why to have a registry cleaner, the answer is with use this windows registry gradually becomes out-of-date and gets loaded with obsolete information. This may happen because of many reasons like when an application is removed just by deleting the folder, changing drive letters or simply moving the file without updating its record in the registry.

Whatever may be the situation these incorrect records accumulate inside the registry and they corrupt it. As a result computer slows down, shows errors, system alerts and even crashes. It also becomes evident that you've got problems with your registry when your computer boots slower than before.
To prevent a situation like this where the window registry does not function properly and also to optimize i tried WinZip Registry Optimizer and it really drastically improves the overall performance of my PC.

I downloaded from latest WinZip updated version at  SPAM link removed...
          Hope it might help you.

And your info is higly innacurate at best...

This is just nonsense. Sensible people will DISREGARD it. On a humorous note, I wonder if people realise what "willy" means in UK (British) slang? Somehow very appropriate.

Before you do anting to the registry, do this simple test.
          Make a new user account.
Reboot and log into the new account.
If there is no difference, a registry cleaner will not help.
If there is a difference, the registry clean is not needed, just repair the user.
