    Video Aspect Ratios
    « on: December 21, 2011, 03:20:53 PM »
I have a very strange question.  A good friend of mine, who is very heavy, has finally decided to get some help.  I would like to take some video of her and change the ratio so she appears tall and skinny, to give her something to shoot for.

I have seen videos where you know the ratio is wrong, but I don't know how to do that. I usually use Windows Movie Maker, but I do have Sony Vegas.  I'm just not that familiar with it.  It's a bit over my head.  But if this is possible to do, I'll play with the program until I figure it out.

    Thanks!

You can create the movie in anything you like and then transcode it using a program that will let you change the aspect ratio.  Handbrake, for example, can do this.

Thanks.  I think I figured it out in Vegas Pro.  I did get it to shrink.  It created those black lines, but it's better than nothing. This is just so out of my knowledge circle.

      Merry Christmas!
