Windows Explorer hangs machine
« on: September 15, 2005, 08:12:33 AM »
Hi guys,

I have a weird problem, I wonder if anyone can help. I am running Windows XP, and have SP2 installed plus all the latest updates. Whenever I use Windows Explorer to locate and then open a file, my machine hangs. So, lets say for instance, I have an MPEG file in C/My Documents/Holiday Vids, I use Windows Explorer by clicking on C, then My Docs, then Holiday Vids, and then my machine hangs ! Whats weird, is that if I try and open the file by opening Windows Media Player and then going "File Open" , it works fine.
Any ideas anyone ?
