    Silverlight 5 Plugin Keeps Crashing
    « on: September 17, 2012, 01:58:45 PM »
OS: Windows XP SP3 Home Edition

Pentium 3 Coppermine CPU 970 mhz I believe

    384 mb of ram

I don't really know what's going on, I don't have a graphics card so that may be the reason for this happening but I'm not really sure. I'm needing it for school though so anyway. The Silverlight plugin keeps crashing and I don't know how to figure out why. I'm trying to find something on here but no forums contain info that I can find. I'm also looking in the silverlight page and still nothing. If anyone can help please do!

Are you trying to use it with IE (Internet Explorer) or another browser?  If IE, what version?

http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx shows a system requirement of 512MB of RAM.  So, adding RAM might solve the problem.

Another thing might be that your processor speed is also below the minimum requirements. Try using the version 2.0 in this link instead - http://www.oldapps.com/silverlight.php which your current hardware meets the minimal system requirements.
