« on: October 21, 2012, 03:06:33 AM »
Good day to all. I just want to ask if it is possible if i mix Samsung 512MB 677MHz DDR2 PC2-5300 SoDimm with a Samsung 1GB, DDR II SDRAM, 800MHz, soDIMM. My laptop have 2 512 MB of the first, i just want to make it 1.5 G if it is possible. I just want to make sure before i put the 1 gig RAM to my laptop. Tnx .... :)

Sometimes this will work...sometimes not.
If sppeds are mixed all the RAM will run at the slowest speed installed...
I'd recommend visiting Crucial.com and running the online scanner.
This will tell you exactly what type, speed and capacity of RAM your PC supports...
Personally with the price of RAM these days i'd buy all  new and max it out...but that's me.
