My pick - Windows 98se

That would obviously have to be Windows XP.

If you were to put two computerhope.com visitors together in the same room and give one a computer with Windows 98 and another one a computer with Windows XP the answer to your question would be none other than Windows XP. It looks friendlier, it acts friendlier and there is much higher chance of it wanting to boot again when you mess up.

    W2k set in classic mode.
XP on steroids that looks & feels like 98.
I won't upgrade until they have something better.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

They say Windows 98 SE is the most stable of all the systems... However, I prefer XP for the features, and for the easy navigation...

      If you insist on Windows....

      Win98se for ease of use/simplicity

Win2000 for stability (overwhelms some newbies)

      Linspire for a better experience

Least user friendly GUI OS: Windows XP Home Edition.

Most user friendly OS: (please don't shoot me!) Windows XP Professional.

There's practically no difference between Home and Pro. Apart from a few services that only companies and geeks make use of.

I use both Home and Pro and I must say that both run just as stable, just as quick and just as friendly. Or unfriendly.

[size=10]I have used both 98 SE and XP .. and , frankly speaking, my choice is 98 SE.

XP , although is prefered by many , but  to do work quickly , you need
to have an OS which has simplicity, compatibility to many issues,.. but can also handle harder task. 98 SE is the choice.you can go to any folder quickly in 98 while to perform that
in XP, you need to have all those knowledges.

Hope I have not bored anybody here
