Mothboard beeps and slow desktop loading help

Hello

My pc has recently started doing 2 weird things:

1. The default windows "Alert" sound or "Error" has been replaced to use the motherboard beep instead of the speaker sound.

2. My desktop is loading very slowly...
When it shows the "Welcome" screen it stays there for a while, after that, leaving me with a desktop background for a while, after it finally starts loading the desktop and all the programs.

I've tried to reset the sounds, clean desktop, clean registry, clean startup and services etc. any help..?

I have a theory, but I'd like some more information first.

What kind of computer is this? Laptop? Desktop?
Does it have a brand or model number?

What is the beep pattern? Can you describe it?

It's a desktop pc, customly build.

Also the beeps happen from the motherboard when a program crashes or a programs makes a warning etc.
