    I have an older motherboard and the error beeps indicate it is the keyboard plug, on the board. Does anyone know if the can be fixed?????

    How do you know it is the "keyboard plug"? (Do you mean the socket?) It could be hardware on the motherboard - a chip or other electronic component. It may be fixable, but a professional repair person would be needed, and they would charge more than the board is worth. You can't do this yourself.

    if this is a PS/2 keyboard, can you use a USB keyboard? (Or vice-versa?)
