what is the largest size hard drive does win XP support.  I need to replace mine with a 2 TB one.
    would that be OK?

The size of the hard drive shouldn't present any problem but you should partition the drive after you do the installation. Keep about 50 gb for the operating system and the rest for saving your important documents and files. By doing that, if you ever have to do a repair or re-install, your important documents and files are still secure.
You can find a free partition manager here.

my 60 gb hardrive is full i want to transfer it to a 1 TB  will XP support that?   without partitioning the drive ,  just doing a straight format and transferring?

      thanks in advance

You need to post the motherboard or computer model next time just in case a BIOS update, drivers and if you are on Service Pack 3 already.

Windows XP only supports MBR partitioned drives, and MBR partitioned drives have a limit of 2TB. You'll be fine as long as you don't go larger than 2TB, assuming You are using the latest Service Pack.
