Game issue or hardware issue... Not sure..

I just purchased D&D Online and the game is stuttering with lag more than any game I've ever played...  Is this common for a lot of people or is it just me?  BF2 is also a bit choppy at times, but I think that's the memory leak.

AMD XP 64 4000+
6600 GT
1 GB RAM
MSI NEO 2 Platinum
480W PSU

(It meets required game hardware specs)

Any programs running in the background? What antivirus software are you using?

Thanks Flame for the reply... I've tried disabling all non-essential background programs including virus scan, firewall, and all the little tray programs...

I've optimized the game settings for low graphics.. even though I shouldn't have to... I was just wondering if anyone has this game mostly...  :-/
