 :-[well i have two problems. (1) when i shut the computer down and try to restart it it takes 3 or 4 trys to get it to restart.  (2) when i go off line and close all windows, if the computer sets for five min. it will lock up and you can't move the pointer to shut it down.

How about some details about the machine, the operating system, what happened prior to this and how long it has been this way.  ;)

What i have is a compaq desk top pc=7462  56K mod. Windows 98. I don't know much about computers so i hope this will help . this has been going on for about a week now. As long as i am on the net it seems to work fine.
