How can I tell how much memory I have in my compter?
Went to Hardware Mgr and found:  261,126 KB RAM

System info. Go Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > System info

Thank you but I am trying to figure out how many MB are in KB or vice versa.
My system is operating Win 2000 and is running very slow.  I have 30GB free
space on hard drive so I'm looking to increase memory, if possible.

You have 256 meg RAM and that should be more than enough for Windows 2000. What are the specifics of your machine and software?

Dell - Win 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4 - Pentium 4
CPU 1.80GHZ - AT/AT Compatible
Running:  MS Office, Hair Salon specific software by Milano Systems (out of Canada - SAM)
IE 6 - Kodak Imaging Software w/Dock attached, lots of images but mostly burn to CD's
I also have AVG antivirus, Not at that office computer right now so going off the top of my
head.  I'm thinking I have to find paperwork to see how much more memory I can add.
I keep running virus tests and come up with nothing.

You can go to www.crucial.com to see about memory expansion and cost to do this. If things are slow you most likely have malware involved. Here is the full drill:
