    i tried to install windows xp home and said the activation number has exceeded it's maxium amount.

    how many times can i install it ?

    do i have to buy a new one ?

    i will also email microsoft n ask.

    Yes, you have to phone Microsoft to install it again. Great idea, huh?   >:(::) ::)

      If it is a copy of YOUR CD and it is not installed on another computer you should be fine. If it is a copy of someone else's CD or if that copy is already installed on another machine you will need to go to the store and buy your own legal copy.
