Media Player Problem
« on: August 26, 2006, 07:01:19 AM »
Whenever I play a dvd the video runs sightly slow and the audio is choppy. No probs playing audio cd in dvd player. Also no other probs playing or ripping audio with media player. ( Windows Media Player newest version.)
I am wondering if my comp is to old to support dvd. AMD 1800+ processor 512mb ram 1.5 GHz

Any Thoughts? :-?

Maybe your drive is too slow? Also, try another media player (realplayer, quicktime...)

Have seen system requirements for your DVD player?  If this choppy playback is due to a hardware limitation, the video part of your system is the most likely cause.  Most likely, your processor and RAM are quite adequate.  So, what is your video situation?  Are you using onboard video or do you have an add-on video card?  If the latter, what is it?
