alright, so i have a toshiba laptop (a65-s1670).....and whenever i log in, it says "NTLDR is missing, press ctrl+alt+delete to continue ......and the same error keeps coming up.....i cant get into safe mode, or do anything at all....i put in my recovery cd, and after it starting to load up and such, it gives me an error, and is says "press ok to exit and try again".....the error keeps coming up
any suggestions?....im calling a local toshiba (not the actual company though, they just work with toshiba comps) place on monday, and if i have to, ill call toshiba, but they charge 35 bucks to talk to them (since im out of warranty)
any ideas?....the only thing i can get into is a screen that does bassically nothing when i press F2 (system setup) at startup
i read a tutorial about this on this computerhope.com site about the ntldr error, but my recovery disk does not work (
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000465.htm#b)
the computer is maybe 2-3 years old at most
what happened was i downloaded windows defender (
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en)
and after i put it on my comp, my desktop items were gone, and my programs in the start menu were gone, so i restarted the computer, and ended up with the ntldr error, and tried calling up microsoft also....but i could not understand what the person was saying (fluent english speaking tech support is nice, too bad pretty much no one has it)....and they were no help
ive tried taking apart my computer to make sure everything seemed fine and everything was connected, and i found no problems
ive looked around on google for a long time, and found nothing that helps......
