Help Required for a novice
« on: September 11, 2006, 01:23:46 PM »
I dont have any speakers on my new PC, and so obviously can't hear sounds. However, I do have a guitar amplifier and was wondering whethet that could be used as a speaker instead? How would I go about connecting the amp to the computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers  :)

What type/size plug does the guitar amplifier have?  You can probably get an adapter to use between it and the speaker connector on your computer.  If you're near a Radio Shack store, make a visit and explain what you want to do.  They have many types of adapters.

Cheers. Unfortunately im now having another problem. My computer wont play sounds and tells me there is a problem with my sound device. The message goes on to say that I might not have a sound device installed on my computer. Is this likely? And how can I install a device?
