USB Problems

Hi guys,

First post here, hope you can help.

I've got a USB memory stick, not sure what make or anthing like that, i got it from school. It's been working fine for over a year now but today I plugged it into my laptop and a box that should tell me what files are on it is blank. The same happened when I plugged it into a PC, and when I tried to save something to the device (a word document) I got a message saying:

The directory or file cannot be created.

I've no idea what's going on, I hoped someone on here could help.

Thanks,

Dominic  :)

To regain use of it, I would try formatting it.  Of course, that will erase anything that's on it, but if you can't access any files now, I believe you have no other recourse.
