Floppy Disk Drive
« on: September 19, 2004, 06:36:36 PM »
I can't use my floppy disk drive. I'm sure it's all set-up correctly but it won't read disks at all. It says in set-up that it is installed but apart from that, it's like it doesn't exist. Any ideas?

I'm using Windows Xp - Home Edition. It's not listed under my computer, the local C drive and the CDRW are but the floppy isn't.

Install Tweak UI (free from Microsoft) and look under My Computer tab of Tweak UI; see if "A" is 'checked'.

    TweakUI is only 147kB.
    Get it here:  http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
