shutting down PC with startup button
    « on: November 13, 2006, 04:22:36 PM »
    Salam everyone..
I have seen this trick with WIN XP but I don't know how to do it..it is to shut down your computer correctly but by pressing the startup button on your case(the same one starts the computer)..the shut down procedure is similar to the normal "healthy" way through which the PC goes off on XP..

    thanks

In Windows XP Home Edition, the power button's default function is to shut down Windows normally.
To change the function in Windows XP Home Edition, go to 'Control Panel' / 'Power Options' (In category view, go to 'Control Panel' / 'Performance and Maintenance' / 'Power Options').  Click the 'Advanced' tab and under 'Power buttons', you can change the function of the power button.
