Please help!

I'm very sorry if I have posted in the wrong section or something, but I have a problem with my computer!

I'm trying to free up space on my hard drive and when I go into Add or Remove Programs, there is a program called "mobile PhoneTools" that another user of my computer downloaded but never used. It is 1,065 MB in size. Everytime I try to get rid of it, I get a message saying:

>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (422)
PAPP:mobile PhoneTools
PVENDOR:BVRP Software (www.bvrp.com) PGUID:F18E8A0F-BE99-4305-96A5-6C0FD9D7D999
$7.1.100.1248
@Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) BT_OTHER 0.64

with an OK button underneath. I click the OK button and then I get this:

Setup Has experienced an error.

Please do the following:
 - Close any running programs
 - Empty your temporary folder
 - Check your internet connection (Internet-based Setups)

Then try to run setup again.

Error code: -5001

I have done this yet I still get the same messages. Can anyone help out at all?

Neil

    Are you sure it is 1,065MB and not KB? that seems excessive. Try uninstalling it in safe mode. Keep hitting F8 when your computer is booting up. Do you need to access the Internet to use the setup program? If so check you are connected. You could try reinstalling it and trying to uninstall again.
