Upgrade gone bad
« on: March 08, 2007, 05:46:49 AM »
I have this computer I was upgrading the video card and RAM and something went wrong!
I changed the video card and ram at the same time so im not sure which is the problem. Now when I turn it on everything is running but nothing comes on the screen. I have tried swiching the slots the ram is in and even put the old video card in but still nothing. Do you have any ideas that might help? Thanks.

Hard to say since we have no info on the system to go on.
Go back to the original RAM and the original vid card and see if you can get it to boot.
In the meantime gather and post lot's more info.

Well that happened to me too but just to be safe turn off the PC, check the connections of both the parts you change and also clean the port connectors in the MotherBoard maybe dust have entered there causing it to block the metallic points and to the parts metallic points too. I hope this helps. :) ;) :D ;D :o 8-) ::) :P

So, that fixed it?  Or, was there more to it?
