my ex somehow managed to name all of our files after us, and we have been apart for over a year now, and it really bugs me and my current gf that every time we open something, it says my name and my ex's. ive tried renaming, ive tried it from the control panel, im fearing that my only option is to reformat. can someone please help me with this pain in the neck?

Do you mean for example the actual title of the file? - eg

John and Lucy's word document.doc

for example?

If so, there is a batch file rename in Windows XP click to have a read

If you aren't running xp then there are loads of freeware programs out there which will do it Irfanview I think for example
