Windows XP shuts down at random
« on: October 18, 2004, 03:19:09 PM »
Everything shuts down (usually when I'm online and usually if I am on a games site that opens an applet window) at random but the tower light stays on.  I have to hold the power button until the light goes off and then reboot.  When the system reboots it acts as if nothing ever happened.  This happens in Internet Explorer and MSN.  Please Help! ???

Scan for viruses, trojans and spyware. Be certain you have the latest security updates from http://www.microsoft.com installed.
