Safe mode runs only the minimum requiremwnts for Windows to boot to so the scans are not only more thourough but might actually be a tad bit quicker...

Hijack This however needs to be run in full mode. This is the only exception.

I tried the Total Install, but not sure if that did anything.

But the idea to just do a simple windows search and try to find and delete the program was the ticket.  Found it it a few places but I think deleting a file from an installer folder was the one that finally worked.

Thanks to all that responded, your help was greatly appreciated.

Yes Raptor, it seems that I've fixed the problem. The idea to do the simple search turned up what I needed to find and delete.   An install pgm was found and by deleting it that did the trick,
