stop error 0x0000007B

I use windows 2000 pro and the stop error 0x0000007B started to appear on start up, while loading windows.

When i use a boot diskette, I cannot access c: from ms-dos.

But, when i use an antivirus boot diskette, the program accesses c: and scans it.

I really need to copy a file from c: -- how do I do it?

 joana boot to safe mode the f8 on boot ..keep tapping it..and chose the last good config..have you added hardware to your pc?

I haven't added any hardware. But i have been using a usb pen disk.

Immediately before the error appeared, i installed norton anti-virus and plasma, a 3d flash software.

I scanned the disk with an antivirus boot diskette, and it found two trojan downloaders and one trojan horse, but couldn't delete them because it was on some sort of resd-only mode.

No software... It works without any on windows 2000. ???Is that the problem? The error screen message says something about chkdsk F\

Interested in this virus ..norton ...omitted.. i have come across issue with the usb pen.........and will  discuss it at a later time.... sorry  but .fatigue..catches up...<ants dont sleep> i wish i was one.....
