customizing
« on: May 24, 2007, 10:33:57 PM »
If anyone can offer some advice, I've been trying to change the appearance of my computer so that I can see the entire window but part of the page is always missing. I go into display then appearance and I try changing the numbers for the active border but it's not working. What else can I do? ppbab

What is your resolution currently set to?
Monitors under 10" should be set to 800x600
Monitors over this size should be set to 1024x768

Some monitors only support 600x400, but most of those monitors are over 12 years old.

At least change it to 800x600 and if your video card supports it try 1024x768 like Zylstra said ;) But if it is a smaller monitor get the glasses out  ::)

IM me for an invite :) I will try to do as many as I can daily if I get an abundance of them.

I think I tried that and it made the fonts alot smaller. I'll tried it again. I was actually trying to complete and installation of a program but I could not see all of the options to click on to. So I will try changing the resolution and see if that helps. Thanks alot.

You should be able to change the font DPI in the Settings tab or appearance

(I need to get Windows XP on a virtual PC so I can verify these things)
