You can also lap your cpu to lower your temps by up to 15C

Just start increasing your fsb in your bios by 10 until it wont boot into windows, then up your vcore volatge by as small amount as you can and it whould boot into windows.

I'm not an overclocker but I don't believe anyone can give a specific answer without the knowing the exact make of model of your computer and/or motherboard.  Your BIOS may not allow you to do what lil_falco suggested; it depends on your system.

Ok i use a basic p4 fan and it was dead cheap..... you can over clock clock your cpu and gpu with some over clocking software.... although its not a wise idea , and you don't need to fork out for a new fan just as long as your one is good enough.....

A few reason why you shouldn't:

no1. you could totally burn it out

no2. It wont run the same as it did , before you overclocked.

I sorta did, each CPU is different even if they are the same make/model.

But my advice is to buy a new cpu. GO EBAY!!!

You all need to start taking some risks. My 3800+ 2.0 ghz stock is now lapped and running at 2.4Ghz daily and ist been going for over a year on the stock fan.

Lapping is one of the ebst things you can do to your CPU to lower temps.
