« on: September 14, 2007, 06:30:27 PM »
Hi , I had posted this in another site  a week ago with nil replies

My computer tends lip sync when I watch  musical video clips.
Slight delay between  audio and video how do I fix pls?

o/s          milleniun 2000
capacity  4 gig
free         2.61 g
I have 6 g of internet download

I only use email  and the internet. I have tried  basics ie delete  files/ games.Disk Defragmenter

Do you know your processor, RAM, and graphics card specs?

Have you always had this problem, or did it just start? Does the video run smoothly, or does it tend to sort of stick?

Thanks for the reply Comp Guy
Not to sure where to find the info  for processor, RAM, and graphics card specs.
I looked in my computer and got  these info

     system win  ME  4.90.3000
    computer  Genuineintel
                    Intel(r) family 6 model 5 procesor
                    64.0MB ram
    performance
    memroy                                                    64mb ram
    system resources                                     75 % free
    file  syst                                                   32bit
    virtual memory                                         32 bit
    dis compression                                        Not installed
    graphics  hardware acceleration               full

The computer was  passed on to me and  I had the problem since I have used it , about 2  months so far.
Video doesnt stick , but out of curiosity what would be the cause of that?

I used to have an old hand-me-down laptop, and the video would stick just because the laptop was slow.

Would definitely be a huge plus to upgrade and install more memory.  64MB is really quite poor.  I recommend at least 512MB if your motherboard supports it.

I had 256 MB of RAM and it still did it because my graphics card was only 2.5 MB.

          Thank all for the replies,

Yes my the audio/video runs smoothly, but the syc is off,

Not too sure what programme , I just view clips through u tube
limk below for grand funk railroad fans
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW3nPqPPBDw.
Thats an idication of my age.

Currenty i have my hotmail. ms outlook  and computer hope working at the same time.
It makes do differnce if i close everting else and just watch the clip. I still get the lip sync. I dont have the problem of it sticking only the lip sync.
          The video  resolution seems good.
Like to try  everything else before  getting the upgrade i guess.
          Thanks again for the replies.

The latest Windows Media Player supported by Me is Media Player 9...

Is this the player you have installed?

You may also want to try visiting Windows Update to see if there are any high-priority updates for your Media Player.

Upgrading to the latest Media Player from Microsoft...Media Player 9...may correct your problem.

Media Players 10 and 11 are not comptible with Me.
