Folder passoword in sharing

Could you please rephrase your question as I don't quite understand what you're trying to do.

We have a LAN setup without a server, We are using remote server which is located far from our location. We are getting link via VPN. I have made one folder named shared data along with username sub folders on my computer & give the shortcut to user's desktop. Now I want to protect the folder in such a way so only user & myself can see the contains of the folder by giving password.
