Increasing Dos Memory
« on: November 09, 2007, 03:49:44 PM »
I am running Windows XP and using the dos cmd emulator. Unfortunatly i am prompted to increase the current dos memory. As of yet I have been unable to figure or find out how. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32
Right click on command and click on Properties.
Click on the Memory tab, and set Conventional Memory to Auto.

I really would like to see EXACT wording...
I don't believe, you are getting any message about DOS MEMORY in Windows XP.

"UB requires a minimum of 590k vytes of free dos memory to run. You need to free up 6-15k more bytes of Dos memory."

Sounds like the error message is generated by an application "UB"?

This might be relevant.
