Windows will not start due to a missing or corrupt file.

My computer will not start. It will beep as it tries to go into windows but then gives me the message of "Windows could not start because of the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM file is missing or corrupt. Is there a way to fix it?

in my opinion u have to repair ur os

I'm not sure if this is will help, but please take a look at this article at Microsoft.

Are you running Windows XP ??
