    MSN Messenger emoticons
    « on: November 24, 2007, 06:17:38 AM »
Well I wanted to know where the MSN Emoticons where located on your PC so that I could send them to people and create a backup.
Are they even located on your computer or are they saved on the Microsoft server?
I tried searching but Without luck.

    Thanks in advance
    Jonas ;)

While you are on Messenger you can try right clicking on them and select save image file save them to your HDD and then send the collection...it may not allow it.
There are a ton of smilie packs out there on the web but most come with a ton of adware spyware and other garbage much like DLoading ringtones....so be careful.

C:\ > Documents and Settings > USER > Application Data > Microsoft > MSN Messenger > (one of the numbered folders - you can check by size) > CustomEmoticons
Remember, these are the emotions you have added yourself. Default MSN emotions are probably stored on the net, anyway you don't need to back up them.
ps: Application Data folder should be hidden by default.
