?help & support not working

I am using Windows XP. I could not open HELP & SUPPORT program in my computer. Please help.

i tried this but it prompted me to put xp cd. after inserting the disc it said that i had inserted worng cd. also yesterday there was a virus alert for VBS/REDLOF.A . may be this is the cause?

Possibly.... Usually viruses attack other, more important pieces of software, such as your settings, etc... It's possible however...

Some options for you to consider

Have you used a registry cleaner recently, if so does it have an undo option?
Can you do a system restore?
Have you a backup of your system state data?
Can you re-install xp?

Before doing any of the above, carry out a virus scan with up to date definitions.

ya i used SUPERUTILITIES program to clean the registry. i will try system restore and let u know. thanx

i don't want to re install xp or restore to previous date. is there any other way?

I would look at your superutilities programme and see if it has deleted any of the relevant keys from your registry

Try reinstalling XP. It should install over the top and not destroy your current data.

finally i used system restore to solve this problem. thanx all of u guys. can anyone tell me how to retrieve the programs/software which i have lost after restoring the system?
