Windows Product Activation
« on: December 14, 2007, 02:59:16 PM »
I cannot load Windows as just after I login a message pops up "Windows Product Activation - A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer Error Code : 0x80004005". From their i can ethier click "Ok" or the "X" and then it just logs off to the log-in page. Please someone help i can start my Laptop sometimes (Into start-up) but usually when i have the wireless off or othwerwise in "Safe Mode". Also it's starts up very slow

I'm running Windows XP Pro on a Toshiba M300 laptop.

Did it just start to happen, or you just installed/reinstalled Windows?
Will it boot to Safe Mode?

Nope i've had the laptop for 2 years in february..its been fine until i started deleting stuff in start/run/regedit/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CurrentVersion/Unistall because i could not delete a program from add/remove so i deleted its registry. I also installed CA Internet Security, i don't know if this will help but it's their. Yes i can start-up in "Safe Mode"

You're welcome ;D
When playing with registry, back it up, first!
