    runtime termination
    « on: January 19, 2008, 12:51:18 PM »
Perhaps some nice techie gentleman can help me, sort of a new at this. My pc is running on Win98SE without a printer. I was trying to instal a free pdf program where I could send a document to print and the pdf program appears as a printer (Nova pdf lite) . This program requires .NET Framework 2.0, which is installed. When attempting to install the pdf program, the following comes up, "requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way". The program does not work. This happened on another program as well. Interestingly, both programs are supposed to run on Win98 platform. :-*

are you sure you have .NET framework 2.0, and not an earlier version? check under "add/remove programs".

Yes, definitely. The error is in: \windows\system\msiexec.exe
