POp ups

Anyone had experience with a pop up which claims to have found something wrong with one's windows registry and instructs one to go to some registry repair site to have the supposed problem fixed. It give the impression it is an authorised site but I do not believe it. It seems like a trap to me.

Your suspicions are correct. No website that I know of would freely scan your registry.

With exception to security sites... All you have to do is click on the link and it will scan for you... But I agree.  ;)
